With the recent Toyota issue, I guess it is a matter of time before people start making parody videos regarding lawn mowers. Hope this video brings a smile on your face!

I have just been overwhelmed with working lately. What to do when you are taking a break from work? Browse Youtube videos. I saw this video regarding PowerPoint and it brought a smile on my face on a otherwise stressful day.

This post is meant to be more of a question rather than providing the answer.  In honesty my book piles are gradually growing larger and larger and I need a way to sell some of the books that I will most likely not read again.

When I was in college I use to sell my text books back to the college bookstore immediately after the semester finished.  However, the payout I received was minuscule in comparison to my purchased price.  (As a result, renting text books has become one of the most successful online business venture).  After college, I sold all my books on half.com until my dislike of eBay stopped me from using their service.

Now, where would be a good place to sell my used books?  I know some people have recommended CKY Books as one option and I will definitely give them a try.  Other than CKY Books, are there any good sites that purchase used books at a reasonable price?

It has been awhile since the last time Borders was offering coupons for free coffee or tea in their in store Seattle’s Best Coffee.

You will need a Borders Reward card in order to use the coupon.  Luckily, it is free to join and I would strongly recommend it if you visit Borders often.  In addition, you can also join eRewards and redeem for $15 Reward Bucks yearly.

A couple months ago a friend recommended me a new consumer product site called Alice.comAlice.com is a website that sell daily consumer goods such as toilet paper, detergent, etc.  According to Alice.com, its main business model focuses on negotiate directly with the manufacturers to effectively cut out the the middleman and pass the savings directly to consumers.

Recently as my workload gets heavier, I have less and less time to drive to different places to run errands.  As a result, I started to use their site to order more items.  The more I use their site the more I like it.

The positive:

  • Free shipping (must order six items except for the first order).
  • Coupons are applied automatically.
  • Item are reasonably priced.
  • Schedule order/delivery for perishable goods.
  • $10 credit in their Alice account once they spend at least $50 on the site.

The negative:

  • Items can be found at a cheaper price if you are one of those people that pays attention to weekly advertisement.

The fact of matters is you can always find a cheaper deal on a item to item basis if you have the time to look/wait for the specific deal. For those people that don’t have the time, Alice.com is a good option. It enables you to determine what products you need on a regular basis and the comfort of knowing you paid a reasonable price. If you like to shop online instead of supermarkets, check out Alice.com!
