disneyparksGrowing up near Anaheim, I always enjoyed spending some time at Disneyland.  However, the ticket prices have gone up year after year and it can become pricey for a family of four.

Today I saw that Disney is offering free admission to 1 million volunteers who volunteer through HandsOn Network.  It is much needed generosity from Disney’s part and I hope people will sign up for the sake of volunteering.  I certainly will.

amazon wiiLast week I posted that the price of Wii will be dropped to $199 starting on September 27th and sure enough, quite a number of stores listed the price of Wii to $199.

However, I never expected Amazon to sweeten the deal even more.  Right now Amazon is offering $25 gift card with a wii purchase if you purchase one before October 5th!

Here are the official words:

Get a $25 gift card with a Wii purchase. To qualify, add a Wii console to your cart from September 27, 2009 to October 3, 2009, and you will get a $25 Gift Card in the mail up to 10 business days after your purchase. Must be sold and shipped by Amazon.com. Does not apply to products sold by third-party or marketplace sellers. Shipping and taxes may apply.

entrecard_creditsThe latest news out of the world of Entrecard is that they will start reserving 15% of network inventory and this has started another storm within the Entrecard world.  Personally I don’t mind having sponsor ads on my website as long as I have the ability to approve the ads.

The value of Entrecard is the people that are using it.  However, there are other programs that are picking up the slack, mainly CMFAds and Adgitize.  I see a lot of overlap between these three systems.  Hopefully the new Entrecard management can calm the crowd this time without much of the fire storm like last time.  If not, there will be a lot more people moving other programs instead.

musuem daySmithsonian magazine is currently offering two free passes to a set of museums on September 26th.  If you are wondering I enjoy visiting museums and I would recommend Smithsonian museum in Washington D.C.  The science museum there is very educational for both adults and kids.  If you are wondering, yes, I am a geek.
