Although frugal is important there is nothing more important than one’s health.  This news is for the ladies out there who likes to get a tan but doesn’t like to be physically out in the sun.

Here is an excerpt:

International cancer experts have moved tanning beds and ultraviolet radiation into the top cancer risk category, deeming both to be as deadly as arsenic and mustard gas. For years, scientists have described tanning beds and ultraviolet radiation as “probable carcinogens.”

Always remember your sun screen when you go out to enjoy the summer weather!

Barnes & Noble announced today that they will start to offer complimentary AT&T Wi-Fi to all their stores nationwide.  The free Wi-Fi is definitely a consequence of the recently eBookstore offering from B&N.

Personally I really enjoy studying in a book store.  A cup hot chocolate has enabled me to study for endless hours back in college days.

amcSummer is the time where all the movie blockbuster comes out.  Although there isn’t a movie that really jumped out at me this summer like Dark Knight last year, going to the movies is still a very enjoyable experience and gets me away from my computer for a change.

AMC is currently offering a free small popcorn with the purchase of any size fountain drink so be sure to pick up yours if you are heading to the movies this week.  If you are a Costco member be sure to check your local Costco to see whether they are selling movie tickets at cheaper price than at the window!

National Saving RateAs the economy deepens more and more people are electing to save instead of spend.  The spend free economy of the past couple years is now replaced by a country of savers.  Here is a chart from St. Louis Fed that illustrate personal saving rate and it has increased dramatically over the last couple months.

There is an article in this week’s economist that talks about the current economic environment.  In order for US to recover from the current recession, the country will have to start shifting from a consumer/import economy to an export economy.  With everyone becoming more frugal and save a larger portion of their income we are definitely moving toward the right step.
